FundSME Jamaica is designed to help end the funding frustrations of both SMEs and Funders, FundSME Jamaica will answer three key questions for SMEs and Start-Ups.
1. What types of funding are available?
2. What type, or combined types of funding suits my needs?
3. How do I access and meet these Sources of Funding?
FundSME Jamaica Platform and Events will educate SMEs about their improved funding options, promote business expansion and match them with ‘best fit’ funders. Participating funders benefit from meeting new and better prepared business customers and by receiving FundSME qualified business leads that fit with >80% of their organisations funding criteria.

How will FundSME Jamaica Help SME and Start-Up Communities?
FundSME is an innovative Platform and annual Event helping SMEs & Start-Ups find and access best fit funding products to suit their particular business needs. Clear, reliable information on existing and alternative funding options is collated and presented at At the FundSME events businesses will both learn about and access the various sources of funding currently available in the Jamaican market.
SMEs and Start-Ups need funding now to develop and grow. However, they face two serious dilemmas in their efforts to expand and create jobs; Access to Finance & Funding Imbalance. FundSME Jamaica Platform, Pathway to Funding tool and Event aims to help resolve both dilemmas.
Access to Finance - A Dilemma
87%* of SMEs seeking finance have difficulty access these vital funds. Currently there are >84 funding options available in Jamaica with Billions available to fund businesses. Difficulties arise because business operators and advisers do not always possess the knowledge of ‘best fit’ funding options to suit particular business needs and there is a lack of ‘know how’ to access these funding sources.

Funding Imbalance - A Dilemma
Almost all businesses rely on traditional funders as the main source of finance with only a tiny percentage using alternative sources of funding. They are also, unaware that traditional funders also provide alternative funding products. The dilemmas are exacerbated because too often SMEs possess neither the skills nor information on
alternative types of funding. They simply lack the knowledge of how to access these other funding options. Billions in funds are available from alternative funding sources for SMEs who are well organised and prepared when they meet FundSME Jamaica’s ‘best fit’ funders.

The Platform’s up to date content provides business men and women with a unique research resource on all available funding sources. The Pathway to Funding programme matches SME funding submissions with ‘best fit’ funders.
